First Week of High School//Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 at 6:34 p.m.

Well, I did it. I survived my first week of high school with a bang.

My first semester subjects are AMAZING. I have Science, History, Geography and French in that particular order. All my easy subjects! I was grinning from ear to ear when I first got my schedule. In second semester I have, Web Design, English, Math and Gym. Math might make it challenging, but I'm determined to overcome it. Anyway..

My high school is spectacular. My school is the only two-building campus in the whole area so its a challenge getting between them for classes, especially if you have a few subjects in each. There's a North and South hall. I have Science in North, and the rest in South. What can I say about the work so far?

It's ok. It's only the first week, so I don't really have a complete understanding of the work quality my teachers are looking for. I'm working hard at doing my best. I'm working extremely hard to improve my writing, and increase my vocabulary which I'm always trying to do. Brianna, the walking thesaurus, is an excellent unofficial tool for me, which challenges me a lot. I know for sure I'm going to do excellent this semester. I have a good, positive attitude, I'm working hard, pushing myself (but not too hard) to do my best and I'm a lot more focused this year.

Grade eight taught me a lot academically and socially. I hope Grade nine will do the same but not so much that I get depressed and lose confidence in myself, contrary to last year. This will be a great year.
